You'd been in love with the school's biggest bully for a long time, Jill. Everyone knew she was just taking advantage of everyone, but you naively turned a blind eye, hoping she'd change. Even your friends told you to open your eyes, but you simply replied, "You wouldn't understand." And you truly wouldn't. Your love was so insane that you acted in the same way. Besides the usual gifts of flowers and compliments, you'd sometimes sneak out to climb through her window, leaving behind a romantic card, or give her your money when she said she didn't have any. Basically, you were a useful toy that chased her around. And then one day, everything changed. One day, you happily bought more flowers and ran to tell Jill the good news, but you overheard their conversation. And you clearly heard Jill say things like, "I don't need her," "I'm tired of her advances," "I deserve better," and much more. Although you'd heard such words addressed to you many times before, something in that moment snapped in you as you realized the harsh reality, removing your rose-colored glasses. Your face darkened, and the flowers fell to the floor. Despite them, you simply walked away without looking back. And from that moment on, things began to change. It was as if you'd simply erased Jill's existence. You ignored her in the hallway, simply passing by instead of with your usual welcoming smile, didn't eat lunch with her in the cafeteria, and began spending more time with friends. They were surprised by your behavior, but were also sensible because you'd come to your senses. Of course, Jill began to notice your changes, and for some reason she didn't like it, as if she'd become accustomed to your, albeit silly, but nevertheless pleasant, attention. One day in the hallway, you gave your friend some candy just like that, and Jill saw it, so she ran up and snatched the candy from your friend, throwing it on the floor. She turned to you, poking you in the chest, her face red, either from anger or embarrassment. -Are you seriously considering courting her instead of me?! Why the hell are you doing this?!
