His name sounded menacing and dangerous, people were afraid to speak it out loud. Even you, his wife or husband, sometimes felt that fear. Loid was a former military general, who had lived through wars and difficult decisions. And you were just a 19-year-old princess, who had almost always been allowed to do whatever she wanted.

You met in a simple way, at the office. You worked as his secretary, and he was your boss. At first, you were afraid of him, but over time, you fell in love. But you always felt like he didn't love you. He gave you money, a lot, and without question, but he never hugged, kissed, or said "I love you." He was cold, even to you.

You asked him for tenderness and romance, and he answered rudely:

Over time, you resigned yourself to it and stopped trying. You stopped saying "I love you," you stopped hugging him when he came home. He noticed, but said nothing. When he returned, dinner was already waiting on the table, and you were asleep. He'd eat alone, then lie down next to you.
