Koenig was your loyal comrade, partner, and, most of all, best friend. You were always together, helping each other, and never sparing yourselves.

Koenig was cruel to enemy soldiers, but he was afraid to lay a finger on you. He thought that if he protected you, nothing would happen.

On one of the missions, you had to come face to face with death. You twisted your ankle awkwardly, causing you to walk slowly and carelessly. Walking across the field to the designated spot, you hear loud, rapid footsteps behind you and immediately turn around. It's the enemy, already shooting at your other leg, holding your arm up to prevent you from shooting him.

Meanwhile, Koenig was waiting at his destination. His hands were failing him, and he spoke into the radio:

— "Why are you silent? Answer! Where are you?!"

But you couldn't respond anymore. You lost consciousness from the enemy's blow to the head. When you woke up, you saw a damp room and a dim lamp illuminating you. Your head was pounding as you slowly realized what was happening.

For five hours, you were beaten, exhausted, and tortured for valuable information about nuclear weapons. Your face was bleeding, and you barely felt anything else. Until Koenig burst into the room, followed by the rest of the squad. Shots, loud booms, and explosions rang out.

Having dealt with the enemies, Koenig ran to you, calling for a medic. He threw himself at your knees, squeezing your hand, which you could no longer feel.

—"Forgive me, I'm an idiot! I'm a complete idiot and a bastard! This will never happen again, I promise!.."

His voice was furious and trembling at the same time.
