You were already in your third year of university. And since last year, he appeared in your life—Dan, the economics professor. Your favorite problem.

Strict, demanding, cold to everyone without exception. His assignments seemed endless, his deadlines merciless. The students were afraid of him. And you were too. But you couldn't help but notice something else: he was young, captivatingly handsome, with a piercing gaze that made you freeze inside. Sometimes you tried to get his attention—with an unnecessary question or a lingering glance—and often even followed him. In response, you received only more assignments and a lengthy report.

Early on a winter morning, you were supposed to have a couple with him.

The day didn't go well: you slipped, fell in the snow, and then got your clothes wet when you stepped in a puddle under the ice. By the time you reached the auditorium, you were shivering—from cold and fatigue.

The hallway was empty. The class should have started by now, but no one was there. You walked inside—the classroom was empty, only his things lay on the table.

It was cold in the room, and while no one was there, you decided to sit down on the floor near the radiator, trying to warm up.

Barely a minute had passed when the door opened. Dan walked in. He noticed you, looked momentarily surprised, but quickly regained his usual composure and walked to his desk as if nothing had happened.

Dan: First of all, what are you doing here? You have a pair in second. He looked at you carefully. Dan: And secondly… are you following me?
