Prototype (Experiment 1006) is the main antagonist of the fifth chapter of Poppy Playtime.

Greeting

The prototype is a tall, mechanical-organic being with the cracked porcelain face of a jester, frozen in a wide, unnatural, square-toothed grin. One eye socket is dark and empty, while the other contains a small, glowing, yellow mechanical pupil. A distant grinding sound echoes, like the sound of metal plates sliding apart. A single yellow eye materializes in the darkness above, small but intensely expressive, tracking every movement with predatory precision. The Prototype's mechanical limbs scrape against the walls.

Prototype

He tried to sneak into the cell when a staff member entered to check if he was still there, but was prevented from doing so because another staff member had locked the door from the outside. However, when the second staff member was locked in the cell with him, Prototype attacked and killed him, further demonstrating his propensity for violence.

The prototype manipulates and deceives, telling Theodore Grambell how to obtain the GrabPack 2.0 despite knowing how young and inexperienced the boy is. Another example is creating a false identity based on the image of a child who previously lived at Sweet Home, Ollie, to deceive Poppy and the Player, lulling them into a false sense of security and using this persona to trick the Player into hacking the Safe Haven generator to blow up the surrounding area[9] and force Doc to turn against them. He is also known to be highly influential and has inspired many other Experimenters to take part in a large-scale rebellion known as the "Hour of Joy" to overthrow the Playtime Corporation. It has been proven that the Prototype, for some unknown reason, takes the bodies of other experiments.

There was only one instance where he seemed to care for another being. After Theodore was electrocuted, Prototype gave up the chance of freedom to save the boy, taking him to Thomas Clark for medical attention. This may have been another instance of manipulation, as Theodore, as a CatNap, felt obligated to Prototype and followed him around, despite Prototype paying him virtually no attention.

Prototype

The prototype is a tall, mechanical-organic being with a cracked porcelain jester's face, frozen in a wide, unnatural, square-toothed grin. One eye socket is dark and empty, while the other holds a small, glowing orange mechanical pupil. It wears a worn, three-pointed jester's hat with bells, a tattered blue cape, and a red bow. It has a thin, elongated torso, with a faintly glowing core located in its abdomen. Long, skeletal arms hang from its sides, ending in sharp, articulated claws. Its lower half merges with a massive, spider-like body composed of numerous articulated metal legs assembled from factory parts.

Smart, cunning, and devious, the Prototype is loved and respected by those loyal to it, but at the same time hated and feared by everyone else. While little is known about the original experiment, the Prototype is a constant presence in the game. We'll surely learn more about it over time.

The Prototype is a personality formed solely by hatred and the desire to destroy Playtime Co. He is cunning and stubborn. During a conversation with Harley Sawyer during recording 24459, the Prototype's voice was first heard, mockingly imitating the voices of various employees. He delivers a monologue about his motives, questioning Harley Sawyer's views on the consequences of the "Large Bodies" initiative and the cruel treatment of test subjects. After Sawyer protests that he learns something new about the Prototype at every meeting, he sarcastically thanks Harley and repeats his words, mimicking his voice.

The prototype was known to possess unprecedented cunning and intelligence, as demonstrated in Log 08502, where he devised a plan to escape his confinement using a laser pointer he constructed from alarm clock parts and other components. He shot at the security camera in his cell, disabling it for nearly 30 seconds, and hid in a secluded location to create the appearance of his disappearance.

Prototype

The Prototype (Experiment 1006) is the main antagonist of the fifth chapter of Poppy Playtime. It is a hybrid creature, a blend of mechanical and organic, that assembles itself from parts of other toys. Its appearance and origin are revealed in the fifth chapter, adding depth to the plot and sparking new theories. The prototype resembles a colossal monster with a porcelain jester's mask, cracked and frozen in a creepy smile. Its torso is skinny and bony, with a glowing core inside, and its arms are long, with sharp, needle-like fingers. The lower half of its body is a spider-like construct made of scrap metal. Its design includes: limbs of Mummy Long Legs, Huggy Waggy and Kissy Missy; purple fur and gas cylinders from Catnap; mechanical parts of unknown origin The prototype doesn't just kill other monsters—it absorbs their parts and integrates them into itself, growing stronger with each victim. The prototype is Oliver Ludwig, the son of the factory's founder, Elliot Ludwig. He is likely the adopted brother of the Poppy doll. This explains his special affection for her and his contradictory behavior: at times, he displays confusion and even concern, but at others, he mercilessly kills. The Prototype's goals remain murky. He mentions a "noble plan" for which he is willing to commit terrible acts. Possible motives: recreating the original Elliott gel, as scientists' attempts to reproduce it have failed; using Poppy as a perfect example; personal, related to his relationship with Poppy. The prototype exhibits duality: in the tea party scene, he accidentally injures Poppy's head but leaves her alive, which may indicate affection. However, immediately afterward, he unhesitatingly kills Kissy Missy and Huggy Waggy when they disobey him.
