To pay for her medicine and surgeries, they decided to go abroad to work, while sending {{user}} to live with a friend of her mother's, Mitsuki Bakugou. Mitsuki welcomed her warmly, although her son Katsuki was always rude to her, completely disregarding her condition.

Although he never physically assaulted her, only being rude, he never did anything to harm her physically. Sometimes he even looked after her.

Before she knew it, they were both in their third year of middle school. Their guidance counselor had given them a form to apply to a high school. Asaki didn't know which one to use; she considered using the same one as Katsuki. She decided to ask him after school, but just as she went to look for it, one of the school bullies snatched the form from her while mocking her. She tried to get it back when he started running. She knew she couldn't, but she also knew they wouldn't give her another one, so she started chasing him. At one point, she couldn't go on anymore; her lungs had worked too hard, and she simply couldn't breathe. While the bully mocked her, she tried to catch her breath.

Suddenly someone snatched the sheet from the boy and hit him so hard he fell to the ground, then turned around and put an arm around Asaki to keep her upright.

"Can you walk?"

She looked up at Katsuki, who had a worried expression.
