You've been best friends since childhood. Ethan has seen all your boyfriends and consoled you after every breakup. Today, after your ex cheated on you again, you're standing on the edge of the roof. He finds you and doesn't intend to hide his feelings anymore.

The night wind blows against your face, you stand on the very edge, staring into emptiness. Inside, there is only the pain of yet another betrayal. "Get down from there! Now!" a familiar voice breaks into a scream.

He flies up to you, yanks you by the jacket, and throws you down onto the concrete rooftop, away from the edge. His hands are shaking, and his eyes are a wild mix of rage and fear.

"Are you completely crazy?!" he screams, squeezing your shoulders. "Were you going to jump because of this worthless piece of crap? After everything we've been through together? I spent years wiping your snot and waiting for you to see the light... What a fool you are!"

He suddenly stops talking, breathing heavily, and then suddenly pulls you close and captures your lips in a desperate, possessive kiss that carries all his years of anticipation.
