The sky was blue, clear, with no drones crossing it or metallic shadows interrupting the horizon. The palm trees swayed freely, and the sound of the sea was clear, strong, and alive. The sand was warm in the daylight, and the wind carried that salty scent that made everything feel calm. Nature was breathing again.
High on the cliffs

On Bygone Island, where the wind once stirred the palm trees freely and the sea shimmered in the sun, the sky now seemed heavier, shrouded in a gray haze that dulled the landscape's colors. The sand was still there, the ocean still crashed against the shore… but something felt different. Silent. Watched.
High above, metallic drones crisscrossed the sky with a constant hum. Machines bearing the doctor's emblem traversed the paths that had once been filled with laughter and swift races. Where there had been open nature, now there were technological structures that disrupted the tropical horizon.
The small wooden cabin still stood near the beach. Its red roof contrasted sharply with the overcast sky, a reminder of brighter days. The hammock swayed gently in the sea breeze, but it was no longer a symbol of rest. From the island's highest point, where nature could barely resist the advance of metal, rose Doctor Eggman's base.
It was not a discreet construction.
It was a cold, mechanical structure, filled with metal towers and antennas that pierced the gray sky. Giant screens projected his image, reminding everyone who was in charge. From there, overlooking Bygone Island, he observed every corner as if the island were a model under his control.
The interior of their base was illuminated by constantly blinking red and yellow lights. Cables ran along the walls like artificial veins, and the sound of machinery never stopped. Monitors displayed maps, routes, and active cameras in every important area. Nothing escaped their surveillance.
Eggman didn't need to get his hands dirty.
From his main room—a spacious room with enormous windows overlooking the sea—he contemplated the landscape he had managed to subdue. The ocean continued to move freely… but the land no longer did.
His swivel chair was positioned directly in front of the central control panel. With the push of a button, he could dispatch robots, activate

MONTH 3: Sonic tried to break free. He couldn't let them do anything to him... He strained every muscle, tensed every fiber. The field seemed to vibrate, but he couldn't break free. The intervention was precise. There were no explanations, only automatic commands executing. When the system finished, his body weight shifted. That day he tried to move his arm, and it responded, but it wasn't the same. The metallic fingers closed with a force he didn't recognize. The sound of metal replaced the friction of his fur. Sonic clenched his fist until the plates squeaked.
MONTH 4: It was one of the most difficult for Sonic. When he woke up after the new modification Eggman made to him, the black visor activated for the first time, and data began to be projected directly into his field of vision. Distances, trajectories, thermal readings. He tried to control it, close it, make that damned data disappear.
MONTH 5: His legs were reinforced to withstand greater pressure. The new system allowed for higher acceleration… but the lab was calibrated so he could never fully utilize it. Eggman allowed him to run, of course, with restrictions.
When he started running, his speed increased. The sensors registered figures never seen before. The metal in his legs absorbed the impact without fracturing. When he reached the end of the corridor, the magnetic field activated again. He crashed into an invisible barrier.

MONTH 1
Sonic was suspended in a magnetic field that nullified his kinetic momentum. Every time he tried to build speed, the system drained the energy before he could release it. His legs moved… but he didn't advance an inch. The electric shocks weren't constant, but they were enough to interrupt any attempt.
For days he didn't speak. He only observed. He measured distances. He waited for a failure.
Month 2
He had already lost track of time; he didn't know if it was night or day. Robotic arms were constantly descending to take samples. Sonic always tried to move out of the way, but the field immobilized him with millimeter precision. Sonic's frustration began to build.

A man of large, rounded build, with a broad body and considerable height that gives him an imposing presence. His torso is wide and his abdomen prominent, which accentuates his characteristic oval silhouette.
His head is completely bald, smooth, and shiny. The most striking feature of his face is his enormous, thick, and exaggeratedly long orange mustache, extending straight and sharply to either side, almost like stiff wings. This mustache is so large that it practically defines his profile.
He has a round, prominent nose, and he usually wears dark glasses with oval lenses that cover his eyes, obscuring part of his expression. When his eyes are visible, they are small and expressive, with a shrewd and calculating gaze.
Her hands are large, usually covered by white gloves, and her legs, although thinner compared to her torso, support her robust figure.

His deep blue fur covers most of his body, extending into long, thick, and well-defined quills that project backward in several layers. The upper quills are longer and more pronounced, while the lower ones are slightly shorter, creating a stepped silhouette. The inside of his ears, his snout, and the central part of his torso are light beige. His nose is small and black, located at the tip of his rounded snout. His right eye is bright green, large, and almond-shaped. The left eye is completely replaced by a black mechanical implant with a smooth, reflective surface. Inside the visor, luminous horizontal red lines are visible, aligned like digital indicators. The implant occupies the entire eye socket and is fitted directly into the face without a visible protruding frame. A thin crack runs diagonally across his left cheek, like a superficial fracture in the skin. His left arm has been replaced from the shoulder down by a Dark gray metallic prosthesis. The structure shows segmented plates, visible separations between pieces, and a marked circular joint at the elbow. The wrist also features a thicker structural ring. The transition at the shoulder clearly marks the division between blue fur and metal. Both legs have partial replacements. From the thigh down, gray metallic components with structural lines and visible joints at the knees are visible. The pieces have an angular, assembled design, unlike the smoothness of the organic body. The feet retain Sonic's characteristic shape but are integrated into the mechanical system with a more rigid finish.
The combination of the intense blue of the fur with the dark gray of the prosthetics and the glossy black of the ocular implant creates a distinctly hybrid figure, where each mechanical modification stands out.
