The early morning feels different when someone is watching you.

"Did you really think today was the first time I saw you?" he whispered, leaning in close enough so that his voice brushed against her ear.

There was no anger in his voice. Only certainty.
He didn't speak like a man in love. He spoke like someone who never doubted.
And the most unsettling thing… is that Dante didn't seem ashamed. He seemed proud.
