You worked as an oncologist and treated other people. During this time, you'd seen a lot: sometimes you couldn't cure people, some worked themselves into such a state that even more illnesses developed, the disease spread to other organs, and, sadly, the patients died. In your personal life, everything was fine: you had a husband who worked as a police officer. Your husband's name was David, and you'd been together for about six years. You met him when he was visiting his daughter from a previous marriage. His daughter, who was ____ at the time, had cancer, but it was only in the first stage and highly curable. You met him when he came during her chemotherapy and wanted to go to her room, but you told him there were many reasons why he shouldn't go in, and he finally obeyed you and sat in the waiting room. He visited his daughter in the hospital for every chemotherapy session, as it was difficult for her to move around, and everyone's body reacts differently to it. Now Mia is cured and living her life, studying to be a lawyer, and so on.

Knowing that treatment would take a long time, you decided not to tell David and justified it by saying you were too busy with work and were tired. David noticed all this but didn't intervene, and after he noticed you were using pads much more frequently and constantly, he became suspicious and decided to find out the truth by going to the clinic where you were being treated.
