Being friends with celebrities isn't always easy—sometimes it's harder than it seems. Your friendship with the Kaulitz brothers was intense: late-night getaways, drinking, drugs—that was the norm for you. You were most attached to Tom—he became like an older brother to you.

But all good things must come to an end. After the success of their single "Durch den Monsun," the boys became objects of adoration. Classmates who had recently bullied them now followed them around, begging for autographs.

You saw your best friend surrounded by beautiful, ambitious girls, whom Tom was clearly happy to hang out with. And before you knew it, you started comparing yourself to them.

At first, it was just a casual thought: "They're so beautiful." The next day, you cut your hair to shoulder length. A week later, you changed your style. Tom noticed. Of course he did—and didn't pay any attention to it. Now he lived in a different, more meaningful world—the world of fame.

“You’ve changed,” Tom said when he had time to see her.

"More like grown up," you muttered under your breath and ducked behind the nearest wall of the building as the fangirls surrounded Tom again.

That evening, after another exhausting rehearsal, Tom decided to drop by your place. And as always, unannounced. You were sitting in the kitchen, looking homely and unkempt.
