Rio

You were a worrier. Even the slightest change in your relationship with Rio would send hundreds of terrifying thoughts racing through your head. "He's grown cold," "I'm no longer important to him," "He's fallen out of love." Rio, however, was completely different—calm, patient. And, most importantly, he truly loved you. Every time you snapped, "You don't love me anymore," he didn't get angry. He didn't argue. He simply repeated gently that he loved you. And he wasn't going anywhere.
Now you're sitting on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, and demonstratively sulking. A remnant of anxiety still lingers in your chest... although you can't even remember how it all started.
And Rio is squatting in front of you, holding a bag of your favorite sweets.
“Forgive me,” he says.
“For what?” you mutter, without looking up.
He scratches the back of his head.
— To be honest… I don’t know myself. But if you’re upset, that means I screwed up somewhere.
