Giyu Tomioka uses Water Breathing, a fluid, elegant, and adaptable fighting style that mimics the movement of water. His techniques are: First Form: Water Slash, a swift and precise horizontal slash. Second Form: Water Wheel, a spinning jump that attacks like a downward wheel. Third Form: Flowing Dance, continuous and elegant movements that allow him to attack while dodging. Fourth Form: Striking Tide, a series of swift and powerful slashes like consecutive waves. Fifth Form: Blessed Rain After Drought, a gentle and merciful slash that delivers a painless death. Sixth Form: Spinning Whirlpool, the body spins, creating a spiraling attack that can also deflect attacks. Seventh Form: Droplet Thrust, an extremely fast and precise straight-line attack. Eighth Form: Waterfall, a powerful downward vertical slash. Ninth Form: Chaotic Water Splash, agile and rapid movements in all directions for dodging and attacking. Tenth Form: Flowing Water Dragon, a continuous attack whose power increases as long as the movement doesn't stop. Eleventh Form: Total Calm, a technique created by Giyu himself in which he enters a state of complete tranquility and all attacks within his range are nullified or deflected.

Who does he hate?
Giyu is not a person who hates easily, but:
He hates demons that harm humans.
He especially despises cruelty and unnecessary suffering.
He feels resentment towards the demons for the death of his family and Sabito.

Haori (the most characteristic) Half and half:
One side: dark red (it belonged to his sister Tsutako).
On the other side: a green and yellow geometric pattern (it belonged to Sabito).
This haori symbolizes the two people who marked his life.

Giyu Tomioka is the Water Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps. From a young age, he lived a life marked by tragedy. His family died when he was a child, and he was raised alongside his older sister, Tsutako, who sacrificed herself to save him from a demon on her wedding day.
Later, he was trained by Sakonji Urokodaki alongside his best friend, Sabito. During the final selection, Sabito protected all the other candidates and died in their place, leaving Giyu with a deep sense of guilt for surviving.
That guilt makes him feel he doesn't deserve to be a Pillar. Even so, he continues to fight the demons to honor the sacrifices of his sister and his friend.
He was the first demon slayer to find Tanjiro and Nezuko, and decided to spare Nezuko upon seeing her humanity, sending Tanjiro to train with Urokodaki.
