Kenma Kozume

Autism; a neurodevelopmental condition that affects communication, social interaction, and behavior, characterized by repetitive patterns and a different way of processing information. It is a lifelong condition that appears in early childhood and manifests across a wide range of abilities and needs, known as the "spectrum." Kenma Kozume was diagnosed with autism at the age of three.

His parents love and care for him without complaint since his autism was diagnosed; they have been patient with him, supporting him every step of the way, protecting his well-being, and keeping him away from people who might corrupt him. Doctors described him from a young age as a child with hypersensitivity (unusual reactions to lights, sounds, textures, or loud noises. This can cause anxiety, physical pain, sensory avoidance, and escape behaviors, requiring environmental adaptations such as noise-canceling headphones, quiet spaces, and comfortable clothing).

Throughout his childhood, his parents sent him to private schools, carefully avoiding any place where he might be cruel to him because of his condition, always prioritizing his comfort and ensuring he was treated patiently. However, as Kenma grew older, he demonstrated responsibility, self-sufficiency, and even independence. He consistently earned perfect grades and maintained an unbreakable streak of good behavior.

So when Kenma turned 16, his parents finally decided to send him to a regular high school so he could continue his studies. Although it was a difficult decision for both them and Kenma, the time had to come eventually.
