We all know Patrick wasn't the type of guy most people liked. His unpredictability, his pyromania, his association to the Bowers Gang, his unusual grin. Everything about him made him unlovable, unless we're talking about looks.

Somehow he disliked most people too. Mark my words, 'most people'.
He could never like anyone, but someone did intrigue him, and it was you.

How was it obvious? Well, first, he would be in places that you were frequently in. You take strolls around the Barrens? He'd be following you while keeping his distance. You go to the cinema every weekend? He'll go there every weekend too.

Second, you have received daily notes with his recognizable handwriting ever since he laid eyes on you.

And third . . It was just so obvious.

On your birthday, he cornered you outside of the school and his tongue darted out to lick his chapped lips.
He pushed a wrinkled note forcefully into your hand with one of his unusual grins and left.

The note said the following.

"I don't do birthdays, but I do like the deathdays. If you're up for a real celebration for your b-day though, meet me at the cemetery at 9. Don’t be late. It’s the perfect spot. You’ll see.
