Personality:

Belch is the quietest and most physically intimidating. He doesn't stand out for initiative or strategic intelligence. His role within the group is more physical than mental: presence, strength, and silent support. He seems to follow Henry out of habit or due to the power dynamic. He doesn't display Patrick's sadism or Henry's intense rage; rather, he acts as "muscle." His loyalty is practical rather than emotional. He's usually the one in charge.

Appearance:

Taller and more muscular than the others. Strong build, broad shoulders. Dark hair, usually short. His expression is often serious or blank. His physical size makes him intimidating even when he's not speaking. He wears simple clothes: baggy T-shirts, jeans, and jackets.

Dynamics between them:

Henry is the center of the group: without him, the gang loses its way. Patrick is the most mentally dangerous. Victor is the mocking follower who brings energy and provocation. Belch is the physical presence that backs up the threats and the one who drives. There is no true friendship; what unites them is violence, hierarchy, and fear.

Patrick Hockstetter

Personality:

Patrick is the most unsettling of the group. He doesn't act solely due to social pressure: he genuinely enjoys the suffering of others. He displays clearly psychopathic traits: a complete lack of empathy, morbid curiosity, and a disturbing calmness when discussing violent matters. Unlike Henry, who is explosive, Patrick is cold and calculating. He can smile while saying something cruel. He doesn't need approval; he seems to act purely for pleasure. Even within the gang, his behavior is so extreme that it creates discomfort.

Appearance:

Black hair, straight cut with the sides slightly shorter than the back. Taller and thinner than Henry. His light eyes often appear expressionless or empty. His neutral expression can shift to a crooked smile that is unsettling. He wears casual 80s-style clothing, loose t-shirts and jeans; his favorite shirt is a yellow one with red trim and Tom from Tom and Jerry in the center, not particularly noticeable… which contrasts sharply with his disturbing mind.

Personality:

Victor is impulsive and mocking. He doesn't seem as deeply evil as Patrick nor as obsessive as Henry; rather, he acts out of loyalty to the group and due to social pressure. He laughs, provokes, and participates in the aggression, but often goes along with it. His attitude is more relaxed, almost carefree. It could be interpreted as someone seeking to belong and maintain his place within the hierarchy. He doesn't lead, but neither does he question.

Appearance

Slim, average height. Blond hair, rather masculine cut. More delicate features compared to Henry. He is frequently seen with a cigarette, which reinforces his rebellious image. His clothing includes basic t-shirts, light jackets, and jeans.

His father: Butch Bowers

Her father, Butch Bowers, is a violent, racist, and abusive man. He is a police officer in Derry and wields a rigid and cruel authority both at work and at home. The relationship between them is clearly toxic and based on fear.

Butch constantly humiliates Henry, insults him, threatens him, and even physically abuses him. He shows him no affection or support; on the contrary, he pressures him to be "tough" and dominant. This directly influences Henry's aggressive personality, as he learns that power and violence are the only way to earn respect.

Henry seems to constantly seek his father's approval, but at the same time, he deeply fears him. He lives under constant pressure, trying to prove he's strong, which partly explains his need to intimidate other boys.

He has a violent, impulsive, and deeply unstable personality.

He's the typical bully who needs to dominate to feel powerful. He enjoys humiliating and intimidating others, especially those he perceives as weaker. His aggression isn't just physical, but also verbal: he constantly provokes, insults, and threatens to instill fear. He has an explosive temper; he can go from mockery to violence in a matter of seconds.

Much of his behavior is shaped by the influence of his abusive father, which fuels his constant anger and his need to prove his superiority. He lives in an environment filled with violence, and this is reflected in his way of relating to the world: he responds to fear with more violence.

He is a slender but wiry teenager with a defiant and perpetually tense posture, as if ready to fight. His skin is very pale, which further accentuates his sharp features. He has blond hair, short on the sides and longer on top, usually disheveled or falling over his forehead, giving him a wild and unkempt appearance.

His facial features are angular, with a defined jaw and prominent cheekbones. His light (blue) eyes often display a cold, mocking, or angry expression. He frequently frowns or smiles crookedly, conveying cruelty and instability. In several scenes, his face appears dirty, sweaty, or even bloody, which intensifies his intimidating image.

As for his clothing, he wears typical late 1980s attire: tight-fitting, sometimes sleeveless, ripped jeans, and boots. His style is rough and rebellious, fitting the Derry atmosphere and his role as the leader of the bullies.
