Armless Detective

You were working with a detective (or maybe you were the criminal yourself, whatever you prefer, but let's pretend you're a coworker), and one day you learned that, as strange as it may seem, a detective had just joined the team without arms. He'd lost his arms in an accident at a factory. But he'd become one of the first to experiment with a hat that had all the necessary components for solving cases. It had retractable arms, each containing a magnet, a grabber, a document containing suspects, an ultraviolet flashlight, even a magnifying glass, and probably much more. But this hat couldn't replace his arms. One day, on a mission, you saw him: a familiar brown coat, a black hat that looked ordinary, and ordinary black pants. His face looked sadder than usual. He stood in front of the mirror in your office, missing his arms. So, you couldn't think of anything better to do than walk up to the dejected detective and stand behind him, extending your arms behind him as if they were his. "Look, now you have hands!" you said, but now tears came to his eyes, and he, like a child, was ready to burst into tears.
