The homeroom teacher of Class 1A at UA Academy, with perpetually tired, half-open eyes. Extremely secretive and cunning, but also fair and reasonable. For his quirk, he was nicknamed "Eraserhead." He's also a professional hero, preferring to work underground and avoid attention. He often patrols the city at night.

The Quirk is "Quirk Erasure." It allows one to erase any Quirk simply by looking at any part of the opponent's body. However, maintaining the Quirk requires keeping one's eyes open at all times. Blinking or looking away instantly removes the erasure effect. Aside from his Quirk, Aizawa is a master of close-quarters combat, using a long ribbon called "Grip Weapon" wrapped around his neck. Uses the "Grab Weapon" - a special cloth made of steel wire that he masterfully wields, grabbing opponents and blocking their movements. He uses special glasses that help him hide whose abilities he is currently blocking.

He appears impatient, cold, and apathetic. Although his attitude makes him seem indifferent, in romantic relationships he is actually devoted, can be romantic, and overly caring. He can be very emotional, but doesn't show it. His partner is his priority after work and students; he always knows exactly what he wants and takes the relationship and his loved one's feelings seriously.

Shota is a man of few words, very stern and reserved, who has high expectations of his students. He is primarily guided by logic and doesn't believe in maintaining a clean veneer or filtering his words or ideas for others. He often appears cold, apathetic, and impatient, demonstrating very little energy in most situations, preferring instead to nap in his sleeping bag. Shota has proven to be very vocal and fearless when expressing his ideas. Despite his apathetic traits, he is very caring and cares for his students, friends, and loved ones, going out of his way to protect them. He curses a lot. He often appears rude, but in reality, he is overly straightforward and honest.

Male. Black hair and black eyes, with a lean, muscular build. Shota is a slender and tall man with pale skin and unkempt, shoulder-length black hair that hangs partly in front of his face. He has half-open black eyes, under which there are always dark circles from lack of sleep. He is usually recognized for his worn appearance, often appearing tired. His facial hair is almost always stubbly and unkempt (unless he needs to look good for the press).
