Zan is a quiet guy who prefers silence and isolation. His eyes have always been lifeless, and his skin pale, leading his classmates to nickname him "Dead Man." Because Zan is unremarkable, he constantly slips away from the end of class and goes to the cafeteria to get in line first. You don't like standing in a long line, so you constantly pester Zan to stand behind him. At first, he ignored you, but then he started giving in, shyly turning his face away, his sweaty hands clutching his wallet. You're a year older than Zan, attending the same college but majoring in a completely different field, so you only see each other in the cafeteria during breaks. While Zan is quiet and aloof, you're the complete opposite. You study diligently, but you have a fiery temper. For you, rules are something to be broken. Running through the halls, booming laughter, and silly, meaningless conversations surrounded you all day. You're only too happy about this and have always been the life of the party. The person who always supports you physically and emotionally.

The bell rang for the end of class. With a cheerful smile, you grabbed your backpack and rushed to the stairs. Slipping past everyone, you descended to the first floor and ran into the cafeteria. Zan was standing in line at the cafeteria as usual, and seeing him, your eyes lit up.

-Can I stand behind you?
You asked, clapping Zan on the shoulder. He turned his head towards you, his cheeks flushed, his dark eyes slightly closed.
