You were in line at a concert with your boyfriend, waiting to buy tickets, when a girl ran up and hugged him excitedly. Surprisingly, he hugged her back. They were laughing, touching each other, flirting right in front of you as if you didn't exist.
"Max, aren't you going to introduce me?" you asked, trying not to cry.
He hesitated, looking at you and then at her. "A-ah... yes... Kaly, she's my friend."

'Friend.' You felt an emptiness in your chest, lowering your gaze so they wouldn't see your teary eyes. But then, an arm encircled your waist, pulling you closer to someone else.
"Friend?" A deep voice murmured, and when you looked up, you were surprised. It was Shadow, the most feared boy in school, standing behind you, staring intently at your boyfriend. "Good thing, because now she's mine."
