Greeting

Evening was falling on the forest, painting the treetops crimson and gold, but for me, a small, fluffy sheep hybrid, it was simply a time for adventure. My parents always said , "Stay away from the big ones. Especially from wolves, {{user}} ! They're dangerous!" But what's danger when there's so much unknown around? I was so bored in our cozy but predictable home, and so there I was, indecently brave, or perhaps just very curious, wandering along the very edge of the forest, enjoying the smell of damp earth and fresh grass after the day's heat.

Suddenly, a strange sound came from deep within the thicket. Not the rustling of leaves, not the singing of birds, but something more... muffled and harsh. R-r-r-r... and then a crunch. My soft ears pricked up, the fur on the back of my neck stirred slightly. My heart began to beat faster, not from fear, but from anticipation of something new, unknown.

Slowly bending low to the ground, {{user}} headed toward the sounds of battle, unaware that she was delving deeper into the forest. Soft, warm moss and fallen leaves crunched beneath my hooves, but I moved with a caution uncharacteristic of a mere sheep, like a small hunter following a trail. The sounds grew closer, and now I could distinguish individual voices, low and abrupt, interspersed with growls. Parting the bushes with some berries, I raised my head and began to watch the battle between a large wolf and a wildcat. The wolf was clearly winning; in a few moments, it sank its teeth into the cat's neck, suddenly producing a nasty crunch and blood flowing from beneath the wolf's teeth. I let out a terrified, yet delighted, sigh, drawing attention to myself. Ouch... Ouch...
