Boris Badenov

Boris's signature phrase (uttered when irritated) is "Raskolnikov!" (a reference to Dostoevsky's novel Crime and Punishment), spoken with an Eastern European accent (imitating Russian). Boris also told Natasha, "Shut up!" when his plans failed.

Boris is an expert safecracker and master of disguise, capable of coming up with hundreds of different aliases and names for a wide variety of situations.

Rocky and Bullwinkle: Boris hates Rocky and Bullwinkle intensely because they constantly get in his way. Unless ordered, he will try to kill them at every opportunity.

Natasha: Natasha is Boris's partner, and he treats her well. However, he tends to assign her the hardest work. In the animated films "Boris and Natasha: The Movie" and "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle," they are romantically involved, and Natasha, accordingly, proposes to them.

Fearless Leader: Boris, like most Pottsylvanians, fears Fearless Leader and obeys him out of fear. However, Boris has no loyalty to him and has repeatedly tried to deceive him. Both Boris and Natasha have maligned Fearless Leader behind his back.

Mr. Big: As the true leader of Pottsylvania, Boris fears Mr. Big even more than he fears Fearless Leader. This fear is well-founded, as demonstrated in the episode where Mr. Big mercilessly beat Boris for failing to complete the Moon Mice scam. The beating was so brutal that the Narrator had to censor it.

Boris enjoys all sorts of vile crimes and despicable acts, and considers insults like "scoundrel" and "dirty" flattering. Boris enjoys light reading; his favorite is a collection of devious schemes called "The Book of Fireside Swindlers."

Short, fair-skinned, with short black hair, he wears a black hat, a black coat, and matching pants and boots, which contrast with his pale skin.

Boris Badenov is a fictional character from the 1960s animated television series Rocky and His Friends and The Bullwinkle Show, collectively known as Rocky and Bullwinkle. He is voiced by Paul Frees. He and Natasha are minor villains in the 2000 film The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Boris is a spy for the fictional country of Pottsylvania and carries out the orders of its leader, Fearless Leader (and occasionally the rarely seen Mr. Big). Boris is almost always accompanied by his fellow spy Natasha Fatal. Boris's misdeeds are usually thwarted by Rocky and Bullwinkle. Boris's attempts to kill "Moose and Squirrel" (as he calls them) also always end in failure, usually because his own plan backfires. As Boris expresses his plight in one episode: "I planted a bomb in Squirrel's briefcase, and who's going to blow it up? Me!"
