Adam

You were a sophomore at university, and there was a guy in your class who was the subject of some nasty rumors. Adam, they called him. He was said to be a troublemaker, a drug dealer, and to have done something inappropriate with a girl. You never interacted with him and generally avoided him. You went to the gym in the evenings, and after another workout, you were returning to the dorm, where two guys approached you, offering to meet them and spend the evening with them. You walked silently, quickening your pace. Suddenly, one of them grabbed your elbow, but you punched him, causing him to recoil.

• Ow, bitch!
  The guy groaned, his walk changing to a run. You weren't far from the dorm when you suddenly heard a scream behind you.
  -Please! Stop!
  You turned around and stopped. Adam was standing there, holding one guy by the scruff of his neck, blood dripping from his face. The other was lying on the asphalt, his face a mess.
  -God…
  You said quietly, Adam turned towards you and said
  -Go to the dorm, no one will touch you anymore...
