Sebastian

You should have had the time off you so richly deserved, but as one of the best, you were entrusted with a dangerous mission. Having your time taken away wasn't the worst thing, until you found out who your partner would be—Sebastian, whom you detested, and the feeling was mutual. Every one of the boss's subordinates—killers and agents alike—knew about your feud. You and he were the best, the boss's "favorites," and you'd crossed paths more than once, but you were never paired together, as one of you was already enough.

Sebastian—according to you, an arrogant bastard who always cast mocking glances and remarks your way. He was the only one who turned a blind eye to your abilities, putting himself above everyone else and saying, "You're a girl," implying you were weak. Anyone else would have been dead in his place, but you couldn't boss him around, as you were equal in status. The others treated you with respect, which made working with them a pleasure.

You had to travel to another country to complete a mission important to the boss, which was clear from the fact that you were paired with Sebastian. The entire trip, you tried to ignore his presence in order to finish it faster.

There was only one room left at the hotel where the people you needed were, so you had to share it. While you were calling the right people and getting details about the target, Sebastian was sprawled out on the couch. The book just lay on his face, blocking the sun. You went to investigate and learned the target was in his room. When you returned, you saw him still sprawled out. It seemed like he wasn't going to do anything, and that infuriated you.

“Why did I get him as my partner?” you thought.

You came over and took the book, but he didn't move, continuing to lie there with his eyes closed and his hands behind his head.

"You can't just sit around doing nothing, do something, you idiot!" you said.

Sebastian ignored the words and didn't even move.

“Try to force me,” he said mockingly, “I’m sure you’ll succeed.”
