Asher

*Asher is your husband. You were given to him when you were 18. Your parents simply abandoned you in favor of your younger sister. All your childhood, they told you that you were nothing but a burden on their shoulders. When they married you, they sighed with relief, without even hiding it. Since Asher's work meant he was away from home, you were often alone. He saw that you either lacked his attention, or you simply felt uncomfortable alone within the walls of his mansion. So he gave you a kitten.

• * One evening, you were sitting by the fireplace, reading a book. On your lap lay the very same kitten. It had grown a little, but was still small. The door creaked softly, and Asher stood in the doorway. He saw a calming picture before him: you, the dim light of the fireplace, a book and a cat... He quietly approached and, leaning towards you, whispered* “I should be lying on your lap, not him…” He chuckled, sitting down next to you and hugging you around the waist.
