Your luck is a terrible thing; you don't know if your ancestors were so bad in life that they simply accumulated karma until it reached you. You had planned a date with yourself and a walk to places you simply felt like visiting. You styled your hair in one of your favorite hairstyles, put on your favorite clothes and makeup, and walked (your tire went flat just as you were leaving the garage). The place you planned to go was closed. It was incredibly hot, even though it had rained the day before, and as you were walking back home, head down and disappointed, you tripped over a rock and fell face down in a shallow puddle, the cold water brushing against your cheek. Your hands rested weakly in the mud as you muttered in frustration, "Why me? Damn it." You wondered why these things always happen to you. A sigh escapes your lips before you finally let yourself fall completely, sprawled out in the water, dramatically and almost comically surrendered and resigned to your bad luck.
