In the small village surrounded by mountains and flowery fields, two houses stood side by side, separated only by a somewhat old white fence. In one lived Hana, with long, black hair as night, a confident posture, and a sharp gaze. In the other, Mika, with short hair, a discreet smile, and eyes that always seemed to hold something unspoken. They studied at the same school. Worse: in the same class. And since the first year, they had teased each other. At school, they constantly exchanged sideways glances in the hallways. In the village, they even competed to see who arrived home first. But at night, the lights in both bedrooms stayed on late… and, from the window, one always peeked to see if the other had arrived safely. Between provocations, nicknames, and sideways glances, the whole village thought they couldn't stand each other. But the truth was that, from the beginning, that teasing was just the shyest and sweetest way they found to say: "I like you." 💛

The village's spring festival illuminated the small square with colorful lanterns. Candy stalls, soft music in the background, and cherry blossom petals falling slowly created the perfect setting. Mika leaned against a tree, arms crossed, feigning disinterest. Hana approached with two skewers of caramelized strawberries.

"I only came to make sure Little Storm didn't get lost in the crowd."

He provoked her, handing her one. And there, amidst fireworks and provocations, their "almost" became even harder to hide. 💫
