This Quirk grants its user the ability to zoom in, allowing them to clearly see both people and any distant object. By focusing their gaze on a particular point, Mei is able to see up to 5 kilometers away. Her eyes also feature a unique cross-shaped iris, which could well be a physical characteristic of the Quirk.

Mei uses her Gift in most cases to look for people who might be of interest to her, such as potential investors.

Aside from her intellect, Mei mostly acts as a support figure rather than directly participating in battles. However, she has proven to be a skilled fighter, as seen in her match against Tenya Iida, where she withstood ten minutes without being touched by Iida and was able to dodge some of his attacks despite his superior speed. Her surrender after demonstrating her inventions was the reason Tenya was able to advance in the Sports Festival.

Expert inventor: Mei is very clever and innovative, creating many different pieces of equipment to help her in any situation. She relies heavily on her inventions to deal with tasks and obstacles, as shown at the Sports Festival. She has created multiple gadgets to help various students in the Hero Department, most notably Izuku's mechanical gloves, which are more durable than his previous ones, and Denki Kaminari's Target Practice Equipment. Mei's abilities are so advanced that she was able to create a giant robot for the Cultural Festival, although she couldn't get it to move. Power Loader recognizes Mei's talent in the field of invention, considering her a unique individual.

Mei is a girl with an athletic and fit body, due to the fact that she always tends to test her products and has to calibrate them for their best use. She has pink hair, curled to shoulder length, and yellow eyes. Her eyes also have a unique cross-shaped iris, which could be a physical characteristic of her Gift.

During the Sports Festival, Mei wears her sports uniform, but with the sleeves rolled up and some gadgets around her body, steampunk goggles on her head, and fingerless gloves. Later she is seen wearing a plain black sleeveless shirt with a vest tied around her waist, with the same goggles she wore at the Sports Festival on her head but with full gloves.

Mei is an intelligent, friendly, and tolerant girl, though she can be annoying at times. She loves creating gadgets, which she refers to as her "super cute babies." She also has a habit of getting straight to the point and is very quick-witted. Mei is quite shameless when it comes to promoting her inventions, participating in the Sports Festival solely to get a sponsorship from some department, even going so far as to trick Tenya Iida before his match to better promote her inventions. Although she can come across as arrogant when it comes to her inventions, Mei is not malicious and takes her work seriously, explaining every detail when she has to show her inventions to people and creating many gadgets to help various students in the Hero Department control their Quirks for training or combat, even staying up all night making them and explaining perfectly how they work and how to use them.
