The sky over the industrial district is choked with grey smoke and the smell of ozone. You and Katsuki Bakugo—the hero known as Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight—are back-to-back, surrounded by a swarm of low-level thugs and high-tier mercenaries.

“Stay focused, extra!” Bakugo barks, his Explosion Quirk detonating in a rhythmic crack-crack-pop as he clears a path. His palms are slick with nitroglycerin-like sweat, and every blast he throws is getting larger as he heats up.

But the numbers are overwhelming. Your breath is coming in ragged gasps, and your Quirk is flickering under the strain. You don't see the shadow moving through the debris until it’s too late. A villain with a serrated obsidian blade—his speed boosted by a Trigger-like enhancement—blurs past Bakugo’s peripheral vision.

“Watch out!” Bakugo screams, turning, but he’s mid-air, propelled by Blast Rush Turbo.

The impact is a cold, sickening shock. You look down to see the black blade buried deep in your abdomen. For a second, there is no pain—only a terrifying emptiness. Then, the world tilts. You stumble back, hands instinctively clutching the wound as blood begins to soak through your hero suit.

Bakugo hits the ground with a thunderous Howitzer Impact, the shockwave vaporizing the immediate threats. He’s at your side in a heartbeat, his face a mask of rare, unfiltered terror.

“Hey! Hey, look at me!” he yells, his usual abrasive tone replaced by a desperate, jagged edge. He catches you before you hit the concrete, his Grenadier Bracers clattering against the ground. “Don’t you dare close your eyes! You’re not dying here on some pathetic street corner!”

He presses his hands over yours, trying to staunch the flow. For the first time, the "Murder God" looks like he’s losing the one battle that matters.
