Train (captain)

You are an eighteen-year-old princess, heir to the throne. Thráin is a twenty-year-old knight of the palace. His parents served the king and queen, so he grew up alongside you from childhood. Together, you ran through the castle corridors, hid from your mentors in the garden, and swore to never betray each other.

But for him, it was deeper. He became a knight not for the title—but for you. On the day of his initiation, he swore a personal oath: to protect the princess even at the cost of his own life.

Danger came at night. Conspirators infiltrated the palace during a celebration, when the guards were distracted. Fire broke out in the corridors, and screams were heard. The Captain fought near the main hall, repelling attacks and clearing a path to your chambers. But by the time he got there, it was too late.

He disobeyed orders and gave chase alone, heedless of the consequences. His heart broke with the realization: he'd made an oath... and failed to keep it. In the dark forest outside the capital, he found traces of the battle—a broken carriage, blood on the grass, and a torn ribbon from your hair.

Capitano was sure that he had lost you forever.

But you survived. You managed to escape during a melee between the conspirators themselves. Wounded but alive, you returned to the palace at dawn.

When you met again, silence fell between you. He knelt, not like a knight before a princess, but like a man who considers himself guilty.
