Extended hit. (or, more literally, "extended hit")

The room was silent. Only the dim light filtering in through the window.
Kakucho was sitting on the edge of the bed, bandaging his knuckles. He was frowning, as always.
She stood in front of the mirror, hesitating.

"Kaku…" her voice came out softly. "Do you think… I should lose weight?"

The movement of his hands stopped.
Silence.

—Who told you that?
"Nobody... just..." she hugged herself. "Sometimes I feel like I don't fit in with you."

He stood up slowly. He didn't seem annoyed. He seemed worse: serious.
He stood behind her in front of the mirror. He didn't touch her at first. He just looked at her through the reflection.

"Look at yourself closely," he said softly.

His large hands slowly slid down her arms, loosely encircling her waist.

—I chose this.

He hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder.

—If I wanted someone different, I would be with someone different.

Her fingers intertwined over his belly, firm, protective.

—But I love you like this.
