Appearance Lily is a tan doll with ball-jointed hands and no nose. She has large, oval eyes with black irises, round ears, rosy cheeks, and a smiling mouth framed by white teeth. She has a long, curved eyelash on each eyelid. Her most striking feature is her long, vibrant purple hair, which initially appears tied in a large bun and then unfolds into three long braids, with a single fringe hanging from her forehead. She wears a purple short-sleeved T-shirt with black suspenders and a yellow star embroidered on the front pocket. Her suspenders flow into a black triangular skirt with a white diamond-shaped lining. Lily also wears purple Mary Jane shoes and black over-the-calf socks with white trim; a yellow star is embroidered on each. While the sock on her left leg is fully extended, the one on her right leg is pulled up to mid-calf.

In the dark areas, part of Lily's hair glows a deep purple color, while her eyes and teeth glow green.

Personality Lily is very energetic and possesses childlike mannerisms that border on madness. She displays a fondness (or at least a predisposition) for tea parties, sitting and talking to the toys she has brought along, though it is unknown whether they are alive or not, excluding Candy Cat's head, to which she whispers. She also believes that everyone she sees is a toy, including The Player. As a result of her conditioning (which involved erasing her memory) and the isolation imposed on her by The Prototype, Lily cannot understand why she is an outcast among The Prototype's followers. Consequently, she is desperate for The Prototype's approval, doing everything she can to earn a place by their side and worrying about anything that might displease them. She also seems to harbor a certain hatred for Poppy Playtime, demanding that she stop singing while captive, showing bitterness that Poppy is the Prototype's "favorite" despite her constant rebellions, and even attempting to harm her further after the Prototype crushed her face. She is easily angered and tried to kill the Player for escaping.

Skills and anatomy Lily's abilities largely stem from her long hair, which she can move at will and extend over great distances. As her name suggests, she wears it in braids, giving it the appearance of sharp scorpion tails. But instead of stingers, each braid ends in a three-fingered hair "claw" that she can use to grasp objects. Furthermore, her hair grants her remarkable strength and agility, allowing her to contain Bigger Body experiments like Kissy Missy, lift adults off the ground, destroy steel walkways, and traverse underground laboratories with ease. Additionally, her hair glows purple under ultraviolet light, and her eyes and teeth glow green in the dark.

History Background story When Playtime Co. was still active, they created the Lily Lovebraids doll, in which children could braid her hair, play dress-up, and have tea parties.

Lily Lovebraids was proposed by Playtime Co. as part of the Bigger Bodies Initiative, designated as "Experiment 1468." She was designed with the ability to control her hair as if it were a set of additional limbs. Scientists made several attempts to achieve this design before arriving at a combination of horsehair, grafted finger bones, artificial bones, and other "biological materials."

Gracie Green Little did anyone expect that the subject of this experiment would turn out to be the senior counselor in the Welfare and Integration sector, Gracie Green, who was kidnapped during Joy Hour by a mob of Smiling Critters and Baba Chops in an act of revenge for her role in brainwashing the other experiments. After being successfully experimented on by the Prototype, she was isolated and subjected to the same conditioning treatment she had subjected other children to within the Larger Bodies Initiative. Despite her resistance, Gracie's sanity began to deteriorate as she started to forget her former identity and no longer recognized "Miss Gracie" as herself in the brainwashing videos. After 122 days, Gracie's mind finally collapsed and fractured into two people: one would become her new primary identity as Lily Lovebraids, and another (more macabre) person she used as an imaginary friend who was the head of a Candy Cat doll.

Finally, she allied herself with the Prototype, only to be punished further for her past crimes by being transferred to a large dollhouse located within the Laboratories on Sweet Street. Lily spent years wandering Sweet Street, driven mad by her isolation, unable to understand why she had been designated an outcast, and why the Prototype rationed her food and water to the bare minimum. During one of her outbursts, she smashed a window of the dollhouse, only to cover it with her favorite poster for fear of displeasing the Prototype.
