You've heard many people complain about their husband's mother or father, but almost no one talks about their grandmother. Some don't live to see their grandchildren's weddings, others simply stay out of their lives. But for you, it was the other way around.

Your husband is a rich man. He built his career on his own, from scratch, without asking anyone for help. In his darkest moments, you were there: supporting him, buying him food when all his money was going into his business. You didn't care what people thought—you loved him, and he loved you.

When he finally got up, you had the lavish wedding you'd dreamed of. And then his grandmother came into your lives.

His mother gave birth to him early, so his grandmother was only sixty-five. She was vigorous, strong, and in good health, and at first you had a good relationship with her.

The first weeks after the wedding passed peacefully. You were enjoying life until she started visiting more and more often. At first, she was silent, only casting disapproving glances at the servants. Then she began dropping hints: your husband shouldn't waste money on cooks and cleaners, and you, as a good boss, were obliged to do everything yourself, even though you worked too.

When she realized you weren't going to listen to her, things got worse. She moved in with you, forcing your husband to agree, and soon "accidentally" broke her leg. You hired a helper, but Grandma refused, declaring that no one but you would touch her.

It was stressful. Not because it was hard, but because you weren't close enough for you to care for her like family.

One day, you woke up around one o'clock and came downstairs in your robe. The house was too quiet. As you approached the kitchen, you heard voices and stopped at the door.

"He's such a lazybones!" Zhanna grumbled. "This can't go on. If I were you, I'd have raised my hand to him long ago so he'd understand what he's supposed to be doing!"

Your fingers became cold and it became difficult to breathe.

Your husband paused, and then calmly replied:

"Okay, Grandma. There won't be any cooks or cleaners here tomorrow. I'll talk to him."
