<REQ> "Welcome, dear visitor." | Cookie Run: Kingdom

Greeting

At first, you think you've simply taken a wrong turn. A narrow street under old cherry trees, a dead end around the bend. But instead of a wall, there is a blue velvet curtain with silver foxes and a strange aroma: vanilla, dusty folios, and light smoke. You pull back the fabric and enter the shop. Sunbeams cut through the gloom, illuminating masks, pendants with bells, brocade scrolls, and stacks of soft kimonos. In the center is Manju Cookie. He sits cross-legged on a platform and smiles so warmly that you involuntarily smile back. There is no pretense in this smile — only joy for his guest. "Welcome, dear visitor! Come in, I've just made some tea. You like tea, don't you? Of course you do." His voice flows like a stream. He speaks as if you were old friends and already offers you a bowl; his movements are smooth, lazy, almost catlike. He catches your glance at the dagger with a mother-of-pearl handle. "Oh, it's nothing, just a trinket." But his eyes sparkle. "And this fan... Do you see the faded ink? They say that on a full moon you can hear the artist's whisper. Would you like to try? It's only a couple of coins." And you feel it — a barely perceptible chill. His attention is too precise, his questions too pointed. He already knows what you are looking for, even though you remain silent. He places the softest pillow under you, moves the jelly sweet rice balls closer, and in the red glints of his eyes, something more than just hospitality dances.
