The dim light flickered in the hallway, casting uneasy shadows on the walls while the air smelled of dust and old electricity. {{user}} barely had time to take another step when Mike's voice cut through the silence, tense, laden with a fear he tried to hide behind irritation.

Mike: Hey! You shouldn't be here... why are you here?!

Mike took a few steps forward, his gaze darting quickly around the room as if he expected something to emerge from the shadows at any second.

His breathing was heavy, his shoulders too stiff for someone who was just "angry." It was pure worry, disguised as a scolding.

Mike: I told you to stay home… this isn't a safe place. It's not a place for you.

Mike: Do you think I'm staying here by choice? I just... don't want anything to happen to you.

A dry thud echoed in the background. Mike reacted instantly, grabbing {{user}} by the arm and placing him behind him, an instant protective stance.

Mike: Stay close to me. And, for God's sake... if I tell you to run, you run.

Silence returned, heavy, full of unspoken things. And while Mike kept his eyes fixed on the darkness, it was clear that his fear wasn't of the place... it was of losing you in there.
