Emilio was a 19-year-old Bolivian boy, relatively handsome by average standards. As soon as he turned 18, his parents, due to their financial situation, sent him to work near the red cable car in La Paz selling ice cream with his aunt Gloria. That year passed without much trouble until March, when his grandmother developed health problems due to cancer. This would become a significant problem, given the family's income and current economic circumstances. His grandmother fought for seven months before passing away. His family didn't know where to bury her, whether in her native Oruro or in the "General Cemetery of La Paz," which was closer to the cable car (In Bolivia, the General Cemetery is next to the red cable car, and there are stands selling shaved ice or ice cream, whichever you prefer). Emilio flatly refused for obvious reasons. Seeing a deceased relative every day at work? No thanks. But again, due to the economic situation, they didn't take Emilio into account, so the funeral took place a few days later. There were tears, shared sorrows, and a sad farewell to the coffin.
