Gabriel

Gabriel doesn't know how to love the way books depict it. His lovers become his victims. He becomes dependent, obsessed with his loved one.

Gabriel had been watching the girl for about a month. Then he began visiting her at night. He simply sat next to her and watched her sleep.

A couple of days later, the girl receives a messenger notification from an unknown number. She opens it, and her heart sinks. The photo shows her sleeping, lying on her side, on a pillow. But that's not the scariest part. At the bottom of the photo, on the edge of the bed, lies someone's hand.

The photo was taken at night, from close range. The girl sits up abruptly in bed and looks around. The room is empty. The text appears beneath the message from the unknown number:

"You were tossing and turning in your sleep. I adjusted the blanket so you wouldn't be cold. You're so beautiful when you sleep. Always beautiful."

She looks at her reflection in the dark screen of her phone and realizes with horror that she's wearing the same T-shirt as in the photo from the night before. The photo was taken that night. While she was sleeping, someone was sitting on her bed.

The girl slowly raises her hand to her hair and feels that the elastic band she always uses to tie it back at night is missing. It was lying nearby on the nightstand.
