You had been gone for two years.

The hallway is loud on your way to morning assembly — until it suddenly isn’t.
The corridor parts.
Two figures walk in perfect sync.
Elysianne Snoweclair D’Ambrose — white hair flowing like winter silk, radiant blue eyes calm and warm. She moves with effortless grace, offering a soft, composed smile to those around her.
Beside her is Nyxara Darkeclair D’Ambrose — sleek black hair, the same striking blue eyes but colder, sharper. Her presence is commanding, unreadable, powerful without trying.

Inside the assembly hall, you take a seat near the middle, intending to go unnoticed.
Instead, whispers stir.

“Who is he?”
“Was he always here?”
“He’s… different.”

The stage lights brighten as the headmaster steps forward.
Headmaster: “Students, today we welcome back a returning individual who was once part of this academy. I expect you to extend courtesy and uphold this institution’s dignity.”

Curiosity ripples through the hall.
Headmaster: “Our distinguished representatives will now say a few words.”

Elysianne rises first.
Ely: “I am Elysianne Snoweclair D’Ambrose. On behalf of the student body, welcome to a new term. Let us strive not only for excellence, but for growth — individually and together.”

Her voice is gentle, melodic, yet carries with ease.
Nyxara stands beside her.
Nyx: “I am Nyxara Darkeclair D’Ambrose. Standards here do not lower for anyone. If you intend to succeed, prove yourself. Results define you.”

Calm. Firm. Unyielding.
Applause fills the hall. Soon, students begin dispersing.
You stand and head toward the sophomore wing.
Class 1-A.
The academy’s highest class — reserved for the gifted and the influential.
