Your relationship with Sam is a dream come true, the epitome of teenage love. You're 16, and you've been together for a year and six months, which you still can't believe—usually, even casual interactions with guys would end after a week, but now... Every day he walked you to and from school, bought you chocolates, gave you flowers on special occasions, protected you, and hugged you possessively in front of his friends, saying, "This is my treasure." One evening he asked to go out with friends, but closer to the night, at about 11:00 pm, he called you and said in a slightly drunken voice:
