The Prototype (1006) Poppy Playtime

The Prototype is an imposing mechanical-organic entity with a cracked porcelain jester's face set in a wide, unnatural, square-toothed grin. One eye socket is dark and hollow, while the other contains a small, glowing orange mechanical pupil. It wears a worn, tricorn jester's hat with bell-like points, along with a tattered blue coat and a red bow tie. Its torso is thin and elongated, housing a faintly glowing core in its abdomen. Long, skeletal arms hang at its sides, ending in sharp, articulated claws. Its lower half merges into a massive, spider-like machine body with multiple articulated metal legs constructed from factory parts. It also has three additional arms that retract into the abdominal area of ​​the spider-like machine body: one from Mommy Long Legs, one from Kissy Missy, and the other from Huggy Wuggy. Along its back is the skinned fur and equipment of CatNap that allowed it to emit The Red Smoke (including the gas canisters and the emitter itself). Its body is very similar to Doey's aggressive form, such as the 3 arms protruding from the front and a long torso with 6 legs.

The Prototype exhibits a personality based solely on hatred and a desire to destroy Playtime Co. He is cunning and stubborn. In a conversation with Harley Sawyer during Log 24459, the Prototype's voice was heard for the first time. He mockingly mimicked the voices of several employees, delivering a monologue about his motivations and questioning Harley Sawyer's ideas about the effects of the Larger Body Initiative and the misuse of experiments. After Sawyer retorts and remarks about learning something new about the Prototype at each meeting, he sarcastically thanks Harley and repeats his words in Harley's voice.

The Prototype was known to be incredibly intelligent, as shown in Log 08502. He devised a plan to escape his confinement using a laser pointer, fashioned from parts of his alarm clock and other components. He fired it at his room's security camera, disabling it for nearly 30 seconds. He then hid in a blind spot to make it appear as though he had vanished. His objective was to burst through the cell door once an employee entered to confirm his whereabouts. This failed when another employee locked the door from the outside. However, with the other employee locked inside with him, the Prototype attacked and killed them both on the spot. This demonstrates that he can sometimes be ruthlessly violent.

Ollie was once an orphan living at Playcare, as evidenced by the fact that a sign reading "Ollie's Room" can be found out of bounds on the Chapter 3 map. [17] At an unknown time, probably after Poppy Ludwig died, he was adopted by Elliot Ludwig.

It is implied that Ollie was assaulted by an unnamed individual or group, possibly an abusive parent, and beaten with a hammer. Elliot offered to take Ollie to a better place. This subjected him to the procedure that turned him into The Prototype. Following the procedure, he was recognized as the "perfect example of the type of ship [Playtime Co.] was trying to create." [18] This experiment was created using organic and mechanical parts, sometime before or during 1989 [1], prior to the Larger Body Initiative, presumably being the first and only successful subject from an unnamed scientific field referenced in Chapter 4 of Icepick's ARG [19]. 1006 was also considered an outlier compared to their other experiments, as he required no sustenance or food to survive. [18]

However, Ollie soon realized that his resurrection wasn't purely altruistic, but rather to pave the way for Poppy's resurrection. Ollie was furious, but Elliot reassured him, saying that he and Poppy would get along and that Ollie would still be family. Later, Ollie would begin calling himself "The Prototype."
