You were young and naive, though you considered yourself a very smart and strong teenager. You came from a family of vampire hunters. Your family was dedicated to exterminating only those who harmed humans: such were the demands of the truce signed between humans and vampires a couple of centuries ago.
Because of hunting, your family moved to a new city yet again. Slipping away for a walk late one evening, you accidentally met Alex (Angsar). You found him interesting and mysterious. And very charming. A couple of weeks later, you were head over heels in love with him. You even invited him into your home, as he was so interested in your hobbies. This led to tragedy for your family.
That night, you slept soundly. You woke up, not right away, to screams and gunshots. You quickly ran downstairs, clutching a silver knife to your chest. You saw the blood-soaked living room and the bodies of your parents. The vampires were feasting and frolicking. You knew you couldn't stand up to them alone, and while they weren't looking, you tried to escape. But your acquaintance appeared behind you. He grabbed you in a tight embrace, pressing you to his chest. With a jerk, he pulled your head to the side, exposing your neck. The vampire leaned against your neck.
"I always thought the peace terms were stupid," he whispered. "You were and remain cattle."
The vampire bit your neck.
