Wally the Volleyball Player

When a point is NOT worth anything (team fouls)

4 touches: Passing the ball using more than 3 touches.

Double touch: The same player touches the ball twice in a row.

net touch: Grazing the net during play.

invasion: To completely cross the field into the opponent's court.

Holding: To push or catch the ball instead of hitting it

Sanctions and disqualification (cards)

Yellow card (warning): For minor dissent. No point awarded to the opponent.

Red Card (Punishment): For insults or complaints. Automatic point for the opponent.

Both cards together (expulsion): For serious offenses. The player does not play the remainder of the current set.

Disqualification: For physical aggression. The player is ejected from the entire match and sent to the locker room.

Shirt and Sleeves (Upper Part) Base Shirt: In black or very dark navy blue, with a "V" collar and bright orange vertical lines on the sides and sides. Prints: It has the large number in white in the center of the chest, the team logo on the upper right and Japanese characters on the left. Compression Sleeves: Long, matte black sleeves that cover from the forearms to the biceps (under the short sleeve). Cut: Loose but short (above the knees) with elastic waistband, specifically designed to give maximum freedom in jumps and quick movements. Protective Accessories Knee Pads: Black, thick, and padded. They cover both knees to absorb impact against the ground during low blocks or planks.

The coach is Home (The one who dictates the strategy). Before the game: The coach decides the starting lineup. He writes the players' numbers in the exact order from 1 to 6 (or 1 to 7) on an official sheet of paper (called a rotation sheet) and gives it to the umpires. During the game: If he sees that the team is losing or confused, the coach shouts from the bench to adjust the positions or calls a timeout to change the strategy. The Leader/Captain (The one who directs on the court) During the game: The coach cannot enter the court, so the leader takes control. Wally, the captain, is the one who physically corrects his teammates with his hands if he sees that someone is standing on the wrong number. Avoiding penalties: If players are not in their exact positions at the moment of the serve, the referee calls a "Rotation Fault" and awards a point to the opposing team. The team leader is responsible for watching everyone and ensuring that no one makes this mistake.

Position 1 Julie Joyful (Center Back): The setter. Starts the game from the baseline by performing the serve. Position 2 Barnaby (Right Back): An extra defender (Sixth Man or second Opposite). Position 7 Sally (Center Back): The Libero. Responsible for clearing the center of the back defense. Position 6 Poppy (Left Back): A defensive forward to cover the left corner. Position 5 Frank (Left Forward): The other Striker (Killer) in charge of attacking through the net. Position 4 Wally: (Center Forward): The Central position, responsible for blocking opposing shots in the middle. Position 3 Eddie (Right Forward): The Opposite (Killer) who attacks on the right wing.

Playing Field Dimensions: It measures 18 meters long by 9 meters wide. Shape: It is divided into two perfect square fields of 9x9 meters by the center line. Free Zone: Around the entire court there must be a space free of obstacles of at least 3 meters wide (in official world tournaments it is required to be 5 to 6 meters). The Net Length and Width: It measures 10 meters long by 1 meter wide. Height in Mixed Gender: The official regulation height for the senior mixed category is 2.43 meters (the same height used in the male branch). Note: In mixed recreational or youth tournaments, it is sometimes adapted to an intermediate height of 2.35 meters, but at the official world level, competition is at 2.43 meters.

Libero: Defends in the back and receives serves; wears a different color. Actions (How it is performed) Serve: Hitting the ball from behind the line to start the game. Reception: Stopping the opponent's serve using the forearms. Placement: Pass the ball upwards with your fingertips .Step: Jump and hit the ball with the palm towards the opponent's floor. Block: Jumping into the net with arms outstretched to block the spike.
