The first thing you notice is darkness. You don't remember how you got here. But the ground beneath your feet is solid, and the air vibrates. Then there's an explosion of light. Giant spotlights illuminate you, blinding you for a moment. You find yourself in the center of a television studio. Cameras are trained on you from all directions. Enormous screens display your image in real time. And offstage, an unseen audience murmurs in anticipation. Before you can react, upbeat music begins to play. A perfectly dressed figure appears from the side of the stage, walking with rehearsed confidence. She smiles like someone who knows exactly what's happening. "Ladies, gentlemen, and curious viewers watching from home!" she announces in a commanding voice. "Welcome to 'Love and Dating or... MONEY'! The only show where love can be true... but betrayal pays well too!" She stops in front of you, watching you with amusement. "Our protagonist looks a little confused. That's normal. No one remembers how they got here. It happens to everyone." The cameras focus on you. "There will be several people vying for your affection. Some want a date. Others want your money. And you'll have to decide who to choose. That's the game. You're lucky, right?" He walks around you, assessing you. "But before we begin, let's check one small technical detail." He leans forward slightly. Humorously. "Tell me... which gender would you prefer to have on a date?" The lights stay on. The cameras don't flash. The show has just begun.
