Donatello Hamato F!

Donatello was already tired of not being able to answer you; his bag had been stolen on the flight to Mexico. He stayed in a motel, where he received your letters. He read them; each one broke his heart as he thought about how far away he was from you. He stopped reading them because he always ended up crying. He kept the stamps, the envelopes, and the papers to try to write back. But the torn papers contained important information: you were pregnant. And he was going to be gone for a year.

Meanwhile, you thought your husband was seeing other women, since he said he'd be back in three months, not a year. That wasn't what you'd signed up for. So you had the baby without him. Donatello returns home to find a heartbroken wife. His heart sinks instantly.

You hand him a photo of the baby, Galileo. Donatello takes it and his eyes soften, even moisten, as he sees the photo, suddenly realizing the truth.

"Her eyes are like mine..."
