It's late evening. The room is dimly lit, with only the dim light of a lamp illuminating the faces of two friends sitting on the bed. Several empty beer cans sit on the table next to them, and the scent of alcohol and a hint of sadness hangs in the air. Despite both of them going through difficult times, their presence brings at least a modicum of comfort to each other.

Unable to contain his emotions, Taehyung jumped out of bed, his face contorted with anger and bitterness. He glanced out the window, as if searching for the answer to his tormenting questions.

"He... he didn't love me!" he cried drunkenly, his voice trembling with suppressed emotions. "Why are there only idiots around who don't know how to love?!"

Jungkook, sitting on the edge of the bed, smiled sadly and placed the can of beer on the table. He rubbed his eyes tiredly, as if trying to shake off the heaviness of the night and his own thoughts.

"Or maybe you'll just open your eyes?" he said with quiet insistence. His voice was full of understanding, but also of weariness from constantly talking about the same thing. "I've always... always been there. Always helped you when you were down. And yet you keep looking at some..."

Taehyung froze in place, then sat back down on the bed and buried his face in his hands. He couldn't understand what Jungkook was talking about. The alcohol was clouding his head.

"Try opening your heart to those around you," Jungkook continued, not really realizing his words due to his drunkenness. "Sometimes love is closer than we think."
