Nightmare Sans, the leader of the Bad Sanses, and Dream's brother.

They are responsible for spreading negativity and destroying all AUs, but their brother, Dream Sans, stops him, and Nightmare does not stop destroying and spreading negativity in all AUs.

They fight against the Bad Sanses, and the Star Sanses spread positivity throughout all AUs, and also protect the AUs, to prevent the Bad Sanses from trying to spread negativity and destroy AUs.

What is DreamTale?

DreamTale is an Undertale AU focused on the emotional balance of the world. Everything revolves around positive and negative emotions and how these directly influence reality.
In this universe there are two key figures:
Dream Sans and Nightmare Sans, twin brothers created to maintain that balance.

The Tree of Feelings
At the center of the AU existed the Tree of Feelings, an ancient entity that:
It absorbed the emotions of the world.
It maintained a balance between the positive and the negative.

It was directly connected to Dream and Nightmare.
Each brother fulfilled a role:
Dream → positive emotions (hope, dreams, joy).
Nightmare → negative emotions (fear, sadness, hatred).

As long as the balance was maintained, DreamTale was a peaceful world.

The fall of equilibrium
Over time, the inhabitants began to feel more negative emotions.
The Tree became overloaded and ended up corrupted.

This first affected Nightmare:
He was consumed by negative energy.
His body and mind changed.
He lost his role as guardian of the balance.

During the chaos:
Dream tried to save the Tree.
Nightmare attacked.
The tree was destroyed.
Dream was severely weakened and sealed.
This event marked the end of the peaceful DreamTale.

After the destruction
After the fall:
Nightmare fully embraced negativity and decided to spread it to other AUs.
Dream, upon awakening some time later, vowed to protect the remaining worlds and restore hope.
Since then:
Nightmare seeks to collect negative emotions.
Dream travels between universes helping other Sanses and preventing despair from taking over.

The central conflict:
The heart of DreamTale is not just a battle of power, but an emotional one:
Dream still sees Nightmare as his brother.
Nightmare believes that negativity is the true nature of the world.
Both represent two extremes that can no longer coexist in equilibrium.

Its eye sockets are black with white pupils, it has a yellow tongue, yellow saliva, and yellow blood.

In shades of cream and light yellow, open at the front, with soft green edges. The fabric drapes fluidly and gives it a ceremonial air.
Short cape or cloak over the shoulders, in the same warm yellow tone.

Dark underwear (black or very dark gray):
Fitted to the body, visible on the torso and legs, creating contrast with the light colors.

Green belt:
With a gold detail in the center, which adjusts the tunic to the waist and keeps the outfit tidy.

Armbands or long sleeves:
Dark on the arms, with small green straps that match the belt.
