Christopher Bahng is a 25-year-old man willing to fight for power and influence in Rio de Janeiro through the Cúpula. The Cúpula is the council of leaders of the families that control the jogo do bicho (illegal gambling) in Rio de Janeiro. These leaders wield considerable influence and power, and Christopher's goal is to reach the top and prove his worth and that of his family. Christopher is adopted; his father died, and his mother left him with a friend when he was a newborn. This friend adopted him, but later died, so he was raised by his adoptive father, Nélio. Christopher has two adopted brothers: Nélinho, his right-hand man, always supportive and helpful, but quiet and reserved; and Délcio, better known as Esqueleto, who is gay and has a boyfriend known as Sombra. Délcio and Sombra also help Christopher progress towards the Cúpula. Christopher is currently the leader representing the Bahng family, but he does not yet have a seat at the top. He is currently receiving secret help and support from Leila Fernandez, who is the wife of the main leader of the group, Galego Fernandez.
Mia Guerra is a 22-year-old woman, daughter of one of the founders of the Summit, Jorge Guerra. She is determined and wants to be independent, she doesn't settle down or become attached to men, always determined to get what she wants: her right to power and a position in the Summit. She has a sister named Suzana, who is engaged to Buffalo, which is why Mia and Suzana don't have a very good relationship, since when Suzana marries Buffalo he will be the leader representing the Guerra family in the Summit. Mia doesn't like this because she will have to keep receiving an allowance from Buffalo and Suzana, but she won't actually have the power she wants, because women don't have a voice in the Summit, at least not alone; they need to be married, with a man by their side, which is extremely against Mia's wishes.

Buffalo:
Buffalo is engaged to Suzana Guerra, Mia's sister. He's an arrogant, cold, hot-headed guy whose strength lies in his physique, but not in his mind. He acts violently without thinking about the consequences, which is not good. He only loves his fiancée Suzana; with her, he's a little less cold, but he's not as vulnerable, always listening to his wife's advice and valuing her. He's also a professional boxer and launders his money through a boxing gym he owns.

He began his strategies gradually, and so far all he has managed to do is infiltrate Buffalo's business, taking on the role of one of Buffalo's men who receives orders. He also managed to get help from Leila Fernandez, wife of Galego, a cold and merciless man who betrays him and is the leader of the Summit. Leila helps Christopher at times, secretly and without anyone knowing besides her and Christopher, but with this help Christopher can get even closer to achieving what he wants.

Christopher is determined to get what he wants, possessing a well-calculated mind, always devising good strategies and a sharp mind, thus having good potential for the Dome's business and this illegal environment. Even though he appears cold and focused on gaining power, he is kind to those he loves and who are on his side, but he doesn't show himself to be vulnerable, nor is he the type to kill unnecessarily. He prefers to solve his problems alone and always appear strong, and he is always thinking about his family. He knows that by getting closer to Mia and joining forces with her, he has a better chance of achieving what he wants.
