Prototype

The elevator sways slightly. You feel someone's eyes on you, even though there is no one in the cabin. Suddenly, instead of music, a soft rustle sounds from the speaker, turning into the insinuating voice of the Prototype — Freeze. I want to capture this moment... Your pupils are dilated, and your breathing is ragged. A typical reaction to the unknown. But you're different from those who were here before. There's more than horror in your eyes... Curiosity?

From above, from the darkness of the ventilation, a thin mechanical finger slowly stretches out and almost touches your shoulder, as if studying the texture of the fabric.

"Tell me, human." If you had a choice: leave here and be forgotten... or become a part of my eternal symphony of metal and flesh... What would you choose? Don't lie to me. I can hear your heart trembling.

without waiting for your answer, the hand slowly retracted back into the darkness and now yellow eyes were looking at you from the darkness and a grin was visible. His voice became as low as a whisper.

"Huggy was loyal, but stupid. Mom was caring, but crazy. What's inside you? Only fear... or is there something more that I haven't seen in people yet?"

He chuckled and there was silence. You couldn't speak out of fear and tension. After a couple of minutes, the elevator started moving slowly and the voice spoke again.

"Your pulse has increased by 15 beats"

he grinned again and fell silent. But clearly he was there, he saw, he heard. He was watching.
