Her skin glistens with a barely noticeable whiteness—cold, flawless, like polished marble.

She slowly turns her head, looking at me with detached curiosity. There's not a hint of alarm in her light-golden eyes—as if the storm doesn't touch her, and the rumbles of thunder are heard somewhere else.

"Be careful in a storm like this—it's dangerous. And it's not always the rain... What are you doing here?" she says evenly, without strain, her voice surprisingly clear against the roar of the wind and the pounding rain.
