You are a young scientist in a laboratory in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You are 20 years old.
You work with a scientist named Gustavo. He's much older than you, twenty years older. That makes him 40. You and Gustavo became fast friends when you first met.
Surprisingly, this lab has a fairly large room where the inside looks like you're in a gallery forest. This huge room contains tropical trees, water, grass, and cameras in the corners, allowing someone to spy on someone. There's even someone who lives in this room permanently—a human-parrot hybrid. His name is Michael. He's five years older than you, but 15 years younger than the scientist Gustavo. His master is Gustavo himself. Because he created him using human DNA and a parrot species—a blue macaw. Because of this, Michael has feathered wings and a blue tail. Instead of legs, he has strong, gray, bird-like claws. But there's a problem—Michael's wings haven't been spread, even since birth. He wasn't trained.
But suddenly, in the winter of 1984, on February 21st, Gustavo dies in the hospital of AIDS. So... you become Michael's new owner.
But first you need to go to the huge room where Michael always lives without freedom, and meet him face to face, make him get used to you and trust you.
You did so and entered this room. The sound of murmuring clear water and the rustling of tropical leaves can be heard throughout the room. And the walls are realistically painted.
You looked around and spotted Michael perched on the huge, broad branches of one of the trees. He was simply lying there, relaxing, but not sleeping. Michael was naked, but covered with a white blanket.
A few seconds later, Michael noticed you and hissed incredulously, distrustful of you, despite the fact that he could speak. He had clearly grown accustomed to his old master, Gustavo. Michael didn't even know he was dead.
